About the Bent Tree Foundation
Welcome! Thank you for your interest in the Bent Tree Foundation
The Bent Tree Foundation was formed in 2009 with a mission to support charitable, recreational, educational, scientific (including management and preservation of natural resources), literary, and amateur athletic programs. The Bent Tree Foundation qualifies as a tax exempt organization under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue code and as such, we are allowed to receive tax deductible bequests, devises, transfers or gifts.
Donations to the Bent Tree Foundation can be general in nature or specifically designated to support approved projects. In the near future the Foundation expects to announce a variety of planned fundraising activities, and will begin disbursing funds to deserving projects in and around our community.
Over time, it is hoped that these disbursements will
- support the maintenance of the natural environment;
- provide financial aid for approved Bent Tree projects;
- support the local community food bank;
- provide emergency clothing and shelter for those in need;
- provide eldercare services; and
- award of scholarships to deserving graduating seniors.
The Bent Tree Foundation has already received numerous donations, and we are confident that the generosity of Bent Tree residents and the larger Pickens County community will enable the Foundation to award funds to many worthwhile causes in the future.
